International Society of Paediatric Oncology (SIOP 2019) Conference

Lyon, October 2019: The 51 Congress of the International Society of Paediatric Oncology (SIOP 2019), held in conjunction with the Childhood Cancer International (CCI) Conference, in Lyon was very successful. The global community of caregivers, such as nurses, surgeons, paediatric and radiation oncologists met to share results, experience, difficulties and to discover new ways of supporting childhood cancer patients/parents and survivors.

Furthermore, this event marked a milestone in future European collaboration. CCI Europe, PanCare and SIOP Europe signed a Memorandum of Understanding to align activities and work towards the development and implementation of the Survivorship Passport in Europe (picture below).

CCI Europe is delighted that so many European members were able to join these interesting discussions. We want to give our special thanks to the IAEA (International Atomic Energy Agency) and the WHO (World health organization) for their insightful, informative and interesting presentations.
