Building collaboration in paediatric cancer: ERN PaedCan spotlighted at St. Jude EURO 2025

On April 10–11, the Euro Regional Meeting of the St. Jude Global Alliance took place in Warsaw, Poland, gathering healthcare professionals and patient representatives to advance paediatric cancer care. A key platform for collaboration, the meeting highlighted efforts to improve access to quality care and survival rates for children with cancer and other diseases.

The EURO program (Euro Regional Program | St. Jude Global Alliance) focuses on capacity building, education, and research, addressing regions where the uptake of European Reference Networks (ERNs) remains low but the need is high.

At the event, CCI Europe presented a poster showcasing its work with ERN PaedCan (the European Reference Network for Paediatric Cancer). Designed for both patient advocates and healthcare professionals, the poster highlighted ERN PaedCan’s mission, key activities, and the critical role of patient representatives and clinicians, while encouraging organisations to get involved.

The presentation successfully raised awareness of ERN PaedCan and fostered new connections with Eastern European patient organisations and healthcare groups not yet linked to the network, strengthening cross-border collaboration in paediatric cancer care.
