ENLACE Europe officially launched to strengthen CCI member organisations

On April 21st, CCI Europe officially launched the ENLACE Europe project during a productive online kick-off meeting that brought together member organisations from across the region. The event marked the beginning of a capacity-building programme designed to strengthen organisations working to support children, adolescents, and families affected by childhood cancer.

ENLACE Europe builds on the success of similar programmes in other regions. Originally developed by CCI LatAm and later replicated by CCI Asia, it is now being introduced in Europe with the support of CCI and La Fondation La Roche-Posay.

During the session, participants were introduced to the programme’s three-phases structure, which combines self-assessment, training, and mentoring. The approach is designed to support organisations in building stronger internal systems while enhancing the quality and sustainability of their work. Speakers highlighted the importance of ENLACE Europe within CCI Europe’s broader mission to reduce inequalities and ensure that member organisations are equipped to respond effectively to the needs of children and families impacted by childhood cancer.

The kick-off meeting set a positive tone for the months ahead, with interested organisations now preparing to embark on the first phase of the programme and begin collaborative learning and development activities.
